Daniel Belavy

Daniel Belavy completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (1999) and PhD (2007) at The University of Queensland. In 2007 he was awarded a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany to continue his work on the topic of bed-rest at the Charité in Berlin. He then remained as a post-doctoral researcher at the Center of Muscle and Bone Research at the Charité and was later leader of the spaceflight-physiology group within this research centre. In July 2014 he joined the Centre for Physical Activity and Nutrition Research at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia as Associate Professor of Exercise and Musculoskeletal Health.
